Julie has been teaching Yoga for over twenty years and brings a wealth of knowledge to each student and creates a safe and comfortable practice for all. The class description Julie will be offering: “Nurturing Hatha Yoga –
Enjoy a class designed to wake up and then soothe the systems of the body by moving through a sequence of poses selected to connect movement with breath. Then transition to longer held poses that tap into the parasympathetic nervous system to calm the ‘fight or flight’ response. This is a lovely counter to the fast paced, high-stress demands of today’s society. Nurturing the nervous system helps stabilize metabolism, calms the release of cortisol in the body and supports brain function all while building strength at a pace that your body can sustain. Cultivating peace of mind and improving the function of the body, this is a delightful class for all levels.”
